Cumulus: Legend of the maidens?

Rosemary: You’ve never heard it?

Cumulus: Legends aren’t very popular in Windenburg. We’re more realists there. But I’ve always been a fan of lore and legends.

Lilac: Well, the maidens are believed to control the earth, sea, and sky, and the ideals behind being a good person.

Cumulus: Really? It sounds interesting.

Lilac: I have work off tomorrow, so if you wanted to read more about it, we could go to the library.

Cumulus: I’d love to!

Cumulus: Wow, you weren’t kidding. These are the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.

Lilac: Now you won’t like any other restaurant’s fish and chips.

Cumulus: I can’t believe how nice you guys are to me. This whole town is very nice.

Rosemary: We’re known for kindness. Maybe because the legend of the maidens is rooted here.

Rosemary: Ya know, Cu, you never told us why you came to Waffle Creek.

Cumulus: Cu?

Lilac: She likes to give nicknames.

Rosemary: Cumulus is too long to say all the time.

Cumulus: Oh, um, ok. Well, I got a painting deal here, but I’ve always been drawn to here. I don’t know why, but it’s like a force pulling me.

Rosemary: I’m a musician. I mainly sing but I also DJ and play piano.

Lilac: And I’m a detective at the local police office.

Cumulus: Wow, you sound like you guys live such interesting lives.

Rosemary: Eh, not really. When you’re new to work like Lilac and I, nothing really exciting happens.

Lilac: Yup, just simple nine to five.

Ring Ring…

Cumulus: Hello?

Rosemary: Hello! It’s Rosemary. This is Cumulus, right?

Cumulus: Yes it is.

Rosemary: Well, it may be a little soon for you, but I talked to Lilac about hanging out with you, and we’re both free today. Would you like to go to a diner with us? There’s a really nice one downtown that have fish and chips that are to die for.

Cumulus: Alright. What time?

Rosemary: Come around noon. I’ll text you the address.

Cumulus: Thank you so much! I’ll see you there!
