Lilac: Cumulus? What are you doing here?
Cumulus: Oh, just, clearing my head. What are you doing here?
Lilac: Patrol. Can I sit?
Cumulus: Of course.

Lilac: Cumulus? What are you doing here?
Cumulus: Oh, just, clearing my head. What are you doing here?
Lilac: Patrol. Can I sit?
Cumulus: Of course.
Cumulus: I need to clear my head.
Cumulus: I don’t know what to think. I think I might have… I don’t know.
Rosemary: You don’t have to say anything now. I’m sorry if I just ruined everything.
Cumulus: You didn’t. I’m glad you told me, Rosemary, I just, need some time to think.
Rosemary: I know this must be very awkward, and I don’t know what to do.
Rosemary: …because I also have feelings for you.
Cumulus: What?
Rosemary: And after all this time, I still have feelings for her. I could almost say truly that I love her. But we aren’t dating now, so I would have to confess to her all over again. But I can’t.
Cumulus: Why not? You’ve done it before; I’m sure you can do it again.
Rosemary: Well, I can’t because…
Rosemary: Well, I didn’t lie to you, but I didn’t say the whole extent of Lilac and my story.
Cumulus: Well?
Rosemary: A couple of years ago, when Lilac and I were friends and were living in Berry Springs with our families, we had, well, feelings for each other. So we started dating.
Cumulus: I knew you guys liked each other! Why did you stop dating?
Rosemary: Well, I didn’t lie about our parents not liking us for dating someone that wasn’t of our own color, so after they took our puppy away, Lilac and I ran to Waffle Creek so we weren’t persecuted for our relationship. But after the whole ordeal, we decided we should stay friends for a while so we could settle.
Rosemary: Can I tell you something?
Cumulus: Of course.
Rosemary: And not get mad?
Cumulus: Why on earth would I be mad at you?
Rosemary: Well, the other day when we were talking, I wan’t exactly being totally honest with you.
Cumulus: What do you mean?
Cumulus: Thanks for keeping me company while I packed
Rosemary: No problem, Cu. I had nothing else to do today.
Cumulus: Well I’m honored that you took your free time to hang out with me.
Rosemary: Of course! You mean a lot to me, Cu.
Rosemary: Who was that?
Cumulus: It was my brother. He got a job at a high end restaurant in Windenburg. And he isn’t even out of college! I’m going to head out there so I can eat some delicious cuisine for free.
Rosemary: Sounds wonderful! Do you want to take Cupid with?
Cumulus: Really? Are you sure you guys are ok with me taking her away right after we got her?
Rosemary: Of course! She is your cat.
Cumulus: Great! I’ll try to catch a flight for one of these next couple days.
Rosemary: Sounds like a plan.
