Yet, there was something up with her. This overlying feeling of, sadness. Like she was disappointed with something. But it never seemed to affect her actions. I would ask her, but she would always wave it off as it was nothing. So, we just, dropped it.

We could talk for hours. Usually it was us taking turns talking about either my paintings, or Creme’s crush on Wafer. They were betrothed from a young age, but she seemed to have genuine feelings for him. He was a little bitter back then, but never was rude to her, or me, given that I was her best friend.
Creme and I were best friends. I don’t really know how it started. I wasn’t really the girl to be stuck up when it came to tradition, so maybe she wanted a break from the social pressure from her mom and well, all of Windenburg.

Cumulus: He’s always been like that. For as long as I’ve known him, at least. Just not so extreme.
Aurora: Do you know at all why?

Aurora: I have nothing better to do, Maman.
Cumulus: Alright, then.
Aurora: … why?
Cumulus: Why, what?
Aurora: Why is he so, mean?
Aurora: What happened after, I, um, got knocked out?
Cumulus: Citron picked you up and flew here with you. Creme called me.
Aurora: Citron’s here?
Cumulus: Just for a bit. He’s really worried, you know.
Cumulus: Come here, sweetie.
Aurora: Why did this have to happen to me?
Cumulus: Oh, sweetie.
Aurora: Maman?
Cumulus: Yes, dear?
